We are Looking for Individuals to be a Part of our new Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) Enhancing the patient experience is about focusing on healthcare through the eyes of others. This is an opportunity to make a difference. The PFAC member is a volunteer role that is advisory in nature. The role of the council is to inform the Temagami Family Health Team initiatives, programs, services and policies. PFAC members will provide the patient and family perspective and enhance principles of Patient and Family Centered Care, and are expected to be objective and balanced in their approach. Applications are being received until May 17, 2019. 1 permanent full-time position In Family Health Teams, family doctors work with other health care professionals such as nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, dietitians, occupational therapists and pharmacists to see patients and to keep them healthy. Our Family Health Teams focus on preventing illness and promoting health. The Great Northern and Temagami Family Health Teams (FHT) are seeking a full-time occupational therapist to work across both teams equally as a shared resource. Our Occupational Therapist will offer assessments for patients with chronic conditions or disability around activities of daily living with a goal to assist them to optimize function and quality of life.
